Helicopter Helps Halt Wildfire at California's Mount Baldy

The Mount Baldy Fire Department successfully halted the spread of the Sunset Fire on Mount Baldy, California, on Friday, September 11, with help from LA County Fire Department Air Operations.

Videos from the fire department shows a helicopter making several runs to drop water on a blaze.

The LA County Fire Department had described the scene as consisting of “two small sport fires,” which were extinguished by “fixed and rotor wing aircraft” and “ground forces.”

The Mount Baldy Fire Department tweeted late on Friday: “Quick work with our partnering agencies made for a quick knockdown on the Sunset Fire. Our community greatly appreciates your support.” Credit: @MtBaldyFire via Storyful
